What is Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck surgery)?

Abdominoplasty is a popular and highly effective plastic surgery procedure. It treats problems of relaxation of the abdomen in men and women. This relaxation is due, depending on the gender, to great weight loss and pregnancy.

Surgery

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and lasts 2.5-3 hours. The incision is made below the upper limit of the underwear that the patient is used to wearing, so that the incision is not visible. Rehabilitation

Postoperatively the patient stays one night in the clinic for preventive follow-up. When she leaves the clinic, she is instructed to use a special belly belt that she should wear for about a month, except at the time of bathing.

The pain is relatively mild and goes away with simple painkillers. The feeling of tension that the patient may feel disappears after about 10-12 days. Patients can return to work 7-10 days after surgery. Exercise and weight lifting should be avoided for at least 1-2 months
